• This competition is run by Paramount Home Entertainment (UK) (“PHE”) of 45 Beadon Road, London, W6 0EG, England.

• By entering the competition the entrant will be deemed to have i) read and understood and to have agreed to these competition rules and to be bound by them, and ii), certified that their personal contact details submitted are accurate.

• Winners will be notified as soon as possible by email.  If the winner of any prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by PHE, then the prize may be distributed to alternative winners without any liability or obligation direct or otherwise to the originally chosen prize winners.

• The prize consists of a DVD player and a War of the Worlds (original version) DVD.

• Entries will only be accepted by PHE from residents of the UK and Ireland.

• Only entries received by PHE before midnight GMT on 5 August 2005 will be accepted.

• No purchase is necessary and no proof of purchase is required for entry into the competition.

• There is no cash alternative and the prize is non transferable.  No alternative prize will be offered in the event that the prizes are not taken up within the time period specified by PHE in its absolute discretion.

• PHE’s decision is final with regard to all elements of this competition and no correspondence will be entered into. All entrants who have completed the War of the Worlds packaging survey will be entered into a prize draw and the winners will be selected at random.

• To the extent permitted by law PHE will not be liable for any damage, losses, claims or costs, or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in the competition. Paramount does not seek to exclude or limit liability for death or physical injury resulting from its own negligence or any other liability the exclusion or limitation of which is expressly prohibited by law.

• Entrants must be 18 or over and residents of the UK or the Republic of Ireland. Proof of age may be required before the award of any prize.  Employees of Paramount Home Entertainment (UK), their families, agencies or anyone directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

• Promoter's address is 45 Beadon Road, London, W6 0EG. The prize is subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter retains the right but not the obligation to offer an alternative prize of equal value.

• PHE reserve the right to use the name and photograph of the winner of the competition in post event publicity, and this may involve some travel to a location within the UK to accept the prize and participate in a photo shoot.

• All entries and post-event publicity material will become the property of PHE whose decisions in all matters are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
